Are you looking to get to a national park this summer? It’s been suggested to jump out of your car for once, because not only is it good for the environment, there is so much to see and do once you’re car free.
Try hiking the Great Smoky Mountains, rafting down the Grand Canyon, climbing in Yosemite, kayaking in Voyageurs National Park or cycling through Acadia in Maine. For more information on these adventures, visit this article that describes them a little more in depth.
Are you heading to Crater Lake in Oregon any time soon? Might want to pack your snow boots as they just got pounded with 9 more inches of snow, making their grand total amount for the year 615 inches of snow. Last time their snow count totaled more than 600 inches was in 1998-99 when it reached 674 inches. Snow pack at park headquarters is an even 12 feet. With all the snow, they’re still giving snowshoe tours. More info here.
